As I was searching the web for ideas to add revenue to my business, I came across the also asked on Google.com that said how to make money with Google AdSense without a website. I thought to myself, “I have been doing this for a long time I wonder if I am missing something, and there is more way to monotonize my business?” What I realized after reading the data out there is that I wasn’t missing anything major to help my business, but I did have one way no one was talking about to add to the conversation.

Make money on YouTube with AdSense:

YouTube has become one of the key places people make money online. There are so many resources on the web that go into details about YouTube and AdSense so I will not rehash 1,000 words explaining it. I will go over the basics though. There are multiple ways that YouTubers make money from AdSense. For example, every time you see a pre-video that starts before you see what you clicked on, or when the video stops in the middle and plays an ad the Youtuber is making a few pennies.

One key to remember if you plan to make some money with YouTube is that you can’t just start a channel today and be making money. You will need a minimum of 1,000 subscribers before you are allowed to monetize your channel.  This may feel like a lot when you have a 0 but it comes quickly if you are working on it. Also, if you can’t get to 1,000 subscribers you can’t expect to make money on the platform.

Think about this you make around $5 on YouTube per 1,000 views which is the average. With 1,000 subscribers you can expect to have 15% of them view your new video. That would mean that you will get 150 views on your video. If you divide $5 by 1,000 views you will make $0.005 per view. Therefore, if you have 1,000 subscribers you should be making $0.75 per video that you upload.

I just wanted to point out the math because I hear a lot of people complain about the 1k subscribers and the 4k watch hours in 12 months. Just realize that Google wants you to make money by showing their ads because that means they are making money. On the other hand, if you are getting one or two views a month for them it’s not really helping either of you. In fact, they have even fewer data to use on your accounts to see what they should be charging advertisers for your traffic.

If you focus on growing a good high-quality YouTube channel the money will come. Don’t focus on the money before you focus on that. It will be a failure before it even starts.

Make money on Blogger with AdSense:

I can remember for years reading or hearing how blogging is dead. This is especially true with YouTube coming out and being a go-to for a lot of people when they are trying to learn how to do something. The good thing to know is that blogging is not dead and will never be.

Bloggers make similar money to Youtubers by placing AdSense ads on their web pages. Then depending on the audience that comes to their page, they are paid a specific amount per 1k views.

So the scale of $5 per 1,000 views is accurate for bloggers the same as it is for YouTubers. The key here is that you need to pay attention to the audience you are bringing to your blog. (This is true for YouTube as well) If you have a blog the is focused on people who are less likely to buy or spend money then the advertisers are less likely to pay high prices for ads on your site. On the other hand, if you have a specific blog that aligns with a specific group which the advertisers make substantial money to get…… well obviously they will pay a lot to get an ad on your page.

Make money as a Social Media Manager with AdSense:

OK, everything above this has been written many times on how to make money with AdSense without a website. I wanted to give my readers something new and this is something I personally do. There are a lot of people out there who have websites that they really don’t use. They created it because they were told they needed to have one.

As a social media manager, I see these dead websites all of the time. So over time, what I have done when I set up a new client and I notice that their website is not really doing anything for their business I see if I can help.

In general, what I try to do is offer to help get their website set up for ads if I can take a % of the revenue. So, for example, if my client pays $300 for my services of social media management my goal is to make $300 from ad revenue on their website. This will do two things for me. First, it makes sure that I will always have a client because I make myself a free service. Second, it opens up a new revenue stream for me.

Our usual agreement is that I will take all the ad revenue up to the price I make per month then after that, we split it. By setting it up this way is great for both people. They have a website that all of a sudden makes them or saves them money. I get my monthly payments from the client forever. Then if either of us wants to increase our profit from the agreement we just need to work on increasing the traffic of the website.

Another great thing about this arrangement is that these websites are usually aged and have higher domain authority. This means for a blogger by trade it is easy to add some quality content to the site and increase the traffic. Depending on the arrangement with your client this can come out of your time and pocketbook or theirs.

Conclusion

There are a lot of people out there who are sitting on gold mines and just don’t know it. Therefore, help them out and share in the gold. For me, I am always looking for ways to help my clients. I started as a social media manager which has led to web hosting, web design, ad management, blog management, AdSense management, and just about anything else I can think of to help.

I hope this blog post has helped you think of a new way to increase your revenue with AdSense and if you have any new ideas you have done please let me know. I am always looking to learn ways to increase my own revenue streams.
